pyp software package provides sed/awk-like tool with Python language, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install pyp
pyp is installed in your system.
Make ensure the pyp package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep pyp *
You will get with pyp package name, version, architecture and description in a table
